Hi, I'm Sarah, the face of Kaleidoscope Minds Holistic Therapy, based in Hindley Green, Wigan.

I am a fully qualified holistic therapist, registered with EFT International and I can also be found on the official register for Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage.

I have always had a huge interest in holistic therapies but never pursued it as a career until 2023. Prior to this I worked in schools for over 20 years, a big part of my role was to help support the mental health and well-being of children and their families.

In 2015 when I lost my hero, my mum. The grief, the pain, the loss I was experiencing was nothing like I’ve ever felt before. After really struggling for 3 years, I knew I needed to do something to help me cope. I started to re-connect with a holistic lifestyle, practicing yoga at home, learning more about the chakras and the impact stress and grief has on our body.

In 2019, whilst partaking in some training at the school I worked in, I found and fell in love with EFT and Reiki, these were used as part of a parent/carer support group we ran. These two tools, along with mindfulness and other holistic coping strategies, really helped to improve my physical and mental health, as well as bring back my confidence. I started to feel happy again.

However, life still throws those curve-balls that will knock us right off track. In May 2022, I lost my beautiful, brave sister-in-law Louise. She was only 44 years old, just a couple of years older than me which I found so difficult to comprehend. Then in January 2023, just 8 months later, I lost my incredible, strong mother-in-law. I cannot put into words how traumatic and devastating this period was and the impact it had.  I made a promise after we lost Louise that I was going to make her proud, she is my reminder that we only get one life, we need to live it to the fullest.

With the support and encouragement from my amazing husband, I had a complete career change and retrained to become a holistic therapist. I have done (and still do) the work on myself, and I honestly feel like I have reconnected with the real me. I also volunteer with the bereavement team at my local hospice, they played a huge part in looking after my mum, sister-in-law and mother-in-law. I wanted to give something back as a little thank you to them, it is a role I am so very grateful to be able to do

I look forward to being part of your well-being journey, helping you to reconnect with yourself, find time for some self-care and to tap away your troubles.

Love and light,

Sarah
